Mandera County Assembly

Article 176 of the Constitution establishes the County Assembly which shall consist of members elected by the registered voters of the wards; each ward constituting a single member constituency, on the same day as a general election of Members of Parliament, being the second Tuesday in August, in every fifth year.

County Assembly Service Board

The Mandera County Assembly Service Board comprises of The Speaker, Two members nominated by the major coalitions, The Clerk and two Members representing the public. The Speaker who is an ex-official member is the head of the County Legislature and is expected to conduct all sittings of the County Assembly

Committees

A County Assembly Committee is a group of Members of the County Assembly designated to do the detailed work of the County Assembly. The Members are expected to work together toward a common goal, and may work without the restrictions of formality
